Mission Statement

Home to the Kamboi Hills where brotherly love and sisterly affection triumph and direct our collective skills and experiences to engage and contribute to sustainable development in our communities.

Vision

Preserving and celebrating Kenema's unique cultural heritage, integrating it seamlessly into modern civilization. We aim to collectively cultivate a community that is proud of its roots and embraces innovation as we pave the way for a brighter and more sustainable future.

Our Future Goals

2024/25 Initiatives

Plans include promoting sports through the Kenema District Football Association, supporting Kenema Kamboi Eagles, collaborating on women's participation in national development, and continuing Project100. We also aim to enhance health awareness and engage youth in substance abuse prevention.

2025 – 2030 Projects

We envision constructing public restrooms, launching energy and water projects for local hospitals and the city, and establishing the Heritage Academy and technology hub to support qualified but underserved youth in Kenema.

About Us

Who We Are

Founded in 2020 by a group of alumni from Holy Trinity Secondary School, our organization began as a way to reconnect with childhood memories. With the support of our sister school friends and the wider Kenema community, we have grown into a dedicated group of individuals committed to community development.

What We Do

The Kenema Heritage Union (KenHU) consists of people with connections to Kenema, whether through education or business. We are united by a shared interest in contributing to our community through education, sports, cultural preservation, and collaborative social-change initiatives.
